Reasonable hotel in a restrictive setting for tourists.

Room was comfortable. Pool area is good with views of the bay. Restaurant food was good. Quiet location.

Location was poor unless you want to jump into a taxi to go anywhere. It’s in an area with very limited access to shops and restaurants due to a very busy main road which is the only way to get to and from the property.

Location is right on the water, the room is spacious, there was no problem with doing a very late check-in, just what we needed.

The room was musty, the mattress was hard, the view was only from the restaurant, breakfast was basic, no luggage storage option.

Watching the tide go out from the beach

The area of Phuket is very large and hard to pick a location to stay. We wanted to stay closer to where our friends live, unfortunately it was still 30 minutes away, the traffic to get around anywhere in Phuket is horrible. The hotel is great, we stayed in our own private cottage near the pool and beach. The room was divided into 2 sections where there a large bed and the lower sunken part had the bed for our child. The place had lots of storage space, and the washrooms were good. The pool is very lovely. They have two pools - one pool for the people who stay in the main hotel area and one of the people who are staying in the private cottage and its large and wonderful. The beach is a disappointing as its not the hotel's fault but the tide goes out in Phuket in the morning so depending where you stay - you wont have a swimmable beach at the hotel unless you travel to a beach during the day for swim. The water slowly comes in the late afternoon.. its fun for us to walk on it and collect shells etc. Its closer to the Pier but not walkable as the traffic is horrible so you'll need a tuk-tuk or taxi to get to the main pier. Everything else in the Phuket you must take a tuk-tuk or taxi as everything is a distance away. We had dinner one night, unfortunately there is not much variety in the dinner menu. The breakfast is good. Next time I will stay in the old Phuket town which is really pretty like Singapore old town, totally a cool place to walk around.

The beach is a disappointing as its not the hotel's problem but the tide goes out in Phuket in the morning so depending where you stay - you wont have a swimmable hotel unless you travel to a beach during the day for swim. The water slowly comes in the late afternoon.. I wish we had known then we would've chosen a hotel where we can swim off the hotel instead of looking for a beach during the day time. Dinner is good for one night but otherwise lack of choice for two nights.

Very Good

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. great value, 2 beautiful pools. the staff were very friendly around the hotel and if you need help they were always willing to help. The pool by the beach has little shade compared to the pool behind reception. the Little beach area is perfectly small and feels very much like a private beach even if it isn't. the water is very shallow at the beach 30 meters of knee high water from the shore if not more. This hotel is in a quiet area of Phuket perfect if you want to relax in comfort.

The choice of fruit could do with a bit more choices. every morning it was watermelon and pineapple. if they another choice of fruit like mango, dragon fruit or another would have been great. otherwise everything else was more than adequate.

Very nice and quiet place, great quality/price ratio

Very good price-quality ratio. Very nice location with two swimming pools (one with jacuzzi) under the trees, with a nice view on Chalong Bay. Nice and clean rooms with air conditioning, breakfast was ok. Restaurant was nice with inside and outside tables with view on the pool and the sea. Possibility to book yoga classes and massages. Perfect for those coming to Phuket for diving/snorkeling departing from Chalong Bay

The only drawback is the location, is relatively far (20-30 min walking) from main attractions of Chalong Bay and far from the main beaches. May need taxi or motorbike to move around Phuket.

Nice Thai style hotel, clean and friendly staff!

Nice hotel with thai style, big pool and clean room. The food was great and the staff also! Live egg preparation at the breakfast!

It would be better if the pool loungers was more stylish and new, and some extra restaurant tables in-frond of the beach on the wooden deck

Wonderful

Beautiful garden pools and villas. Very clean , the staff exceptionally helpful and good. The airconditioning broke once, they fixed it immiediately. Very good food, good chefs, attentive waiters. Even the guest were nice. There is a free shuttle to KATA beach 3 times a week.

The tide was very strong so the water disappeared from time to time, you could not use the beach then, so good that they have the beach shuttle.

I went to Phuket to scuba dive. After a long day on and in the sea, Aochalong was a pleasure!

The place was far from the madding crowd, in a lush environment. The staff was very caring and not at all obsequious. The food in the restaurant was incredibly fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the place.

The lighting in the room could be better.

Pleasant staff, but distant amenities and unexpected critters curbed our enthusiasm

Clean and roomy spaces were maintained daily. The staff was courteous, and while breakfast was decent, it could use more variety. Overall, our stay was satisfactory, and we're open to returning.

The hotel's location was inconvenient for accessing stores and eateries, requiring a long, potentially unsafe walk along the highway. An unexpected encounter with a cockroach from our third-floor ceiling was unsettling. The gym was disappointing, being small with limited functional equipment. The hotel should prioritise pest control and enhance its facilities for an improved guest experience.

Perfect restful stay in Phuket

Beautiful resort with kind and helpful personnel. Food from the restaurant was great and we had a fabulous time during our stay in Phuket. While the hotel is a bit removed from the usual tourist spots or beaches, it made for a quieter stay which we tremendously enjoyed. The price/quality ratio is incredible and we are definitely thinking of coming back.

The room we booked was advertised as having a partial sea view and we can't say that was the case. Other villas better located definetly had it, but ours was a bit further back and the view really could not be considered as partial sea view. Now, it is a very small complaint as everything else was great and, in general, the quality of this hotel exceeded our expectations for the price we paid.

A quiet stay at Aochalong, in a beautiful resort location.

Beautiful restaurant and pool area. Room was large and very clean and tidy. Nice and quiet location but not too far from bigger and busier areas. Staff were really lovely and very helpful.

Great place for it's value

Very friendly staff, 2 large swimming pools, one of which is always in the shade, under the palm trees. Beautiful place, great price, clean, large villas. The terrace is also large and comfortable. Overall we are very happy with our stay!

Breakfasts are poor, not much salad and dishes. Maybe it's because it was not the season. Also, you had to ask for tea, because there was none. But the staff was very polite, always ready to help, so it was very nice. Also, there are no beaches in this part, there are ports everywhere, dirty and very shallow. You definitely need a vehicle to go somewhere.
